APCRG participation on International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations IFPMA Heads of Association and Council meeting, Bordeaux, France

In Bordeaux, France on June 09-10 th, took place IFPMA Heads of Associations and Council meeting. There were presented participants from national pharmaceutical Associations from more then 30 countries all over the world. Meeting was conducted by the IFPMA Director General Mr.Eduardo Pisani and IFPMA President Mr.Haruo Naito. Invited speaker was Director General of WIPO Mr. Francis Gurry. APCRG was presented by Executive Director Mr.Irakli Margvelashvili and Head of Board Mrs. Marina Giorgobiani.

Meeting regarding new Tax Code in Georgia

Executive Director of APCRG  I.Margvelasvhili has participated on meeting, organized by Business Association of Georgia  (BAG) between Advisor of Prime Minister G.Pertaia and heads  of  various  Associations, representing different fields of business in Georgia.  Were discussed the draft of the new tax code to be submitted to Georgian Parliament within one month period and ways and terms of  participation of different Business Associations on modification of tax code draft

Meeting with National Statistics Office of Georgia

Executive Director of APCRG  I.Margvelashvili has participated on meeting, organized by Business Association of Georgia  (BAG) between the Executive  Director  of National Statistics Office of Georgia (GEOSTAT) Mr. Zaza Chelidze and heads  of  various  Associations, representing different fields of business in Georgia.  Were discussed  ways of improvement of statistical data elaborated by the GEOSTAT and preparation of new products, in order to make  business environment more  friendly and attractive. APCRG participation in IV international Forum conducted by International Project

Forum took place in Minsk, Belarus, on April 2-3,2009. The name of the Forum was :"Post Soviet Union Countries Pharmaceutical Markets -Similar Problems, Similar Solutions". APCRG was represented by the Chairmen of the Executive Board, Mr.Zurab Natroshvili.

Company IPSEN donation for persons affected by the August 2008 tragic events in Georgia

French pharmaceutical company IPSEN have sent to company GPC 1000 packs of its product  SMECTA as a donation for persons affected by August 2008 tragic events in Georgia. Donated Smecta will be stored in GPC pharmacy in Gori City and any visitor of pharmacy, holding the IDP ID, will be able to get 1 pack of Smecta for free.

Assistance to Internally Displaced Persons

With the donation received from company Pfizer, APCRG has purchased 163 units of electric heaters for Internally Displaced People who left their houses in Kodori Valley in August 2008 and found their temporarily shelter in Tbilisi city area. Heaters were handed over to Abkhazia Refugee Department and distribution was performed together with the representatives of a/m department.
