On September 17, an event was held to celebrate World Patient Safety Day.
The purpose of this day is to raise public awareness and promote patient safety.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Health, his deputies, members of the Parliamentary Committee on Health, rectors of higher education institutions, representatives of medical associations, and health experts.

At the invitation of the Ministry, the executive director of the association, Irakli Margvelashvili, and the coordinator of the drug safety group of our association, Sofo Gvininanidze, attended the event celebrating the International Patient Safety Day.

The WHO representative and the Minister of Health gave presentations on patient safety. The proposals/recommendations provided by medical associations, including our association, were collected in the minister’s presentation.
